Uttara also runs named short-tenor FDRs: 100 days pays 8.60–8.85%, 200 days 8.70–8.95% and 300 days 8.80–9.00%, rising with the amount — all from ৳10 lakh up. For money you can leave under a year those beat its ordinary 3- and 6-month rates.
These are announced rates, not quotes. A bank prices a fixed deposit by how much you deposit and by whether you are a person or a company, so a range means the bottom is usually the ordinary retail deposit and the top usually needs crores or a named scheme. Interest is taxed at source at 10% if the bank holds your TIN and 15% if it does not, and deposit protection covers ৳2,00,000 per depositor per bank.
